Komplexes Kittel-Kilt-Setup: Kiltmacherin Andrea Chappell (Schottland) und Künstlerin Gabriele Konsor (Brandenburg) machen die Begegnung von Kittel und Kilt zum Thema ihrer gemeinsamen Ausstellung. Im Zentrum steht eine Kittel+Kilt-Objektgruppe aus mit dem Partnerlook!Tartan bedrucktem Tyvek-Papier. Originale Kittelschürzen von Meyenburger Frauen und Strodisign-Kittel bilden den raumumspannenden inhaltlichen Rahmen.
Eine interaktive Fotoaktion von Birte Hoffmann mit dem Titel „Kittel oder Kilt“ bezieht die Ausstellungsbesucher aktiv ein.
Die Ausstellung „Gender Patterns - Kittelkleid und Schottenrock“ ist das Resultat der internationalen Partnerschaft zwischen dem Künstler*innenprojekt landmade. (Strodehne, Brandenburg), dem Kunstverein Deveron Projects (Huntly, Schottland) und dem Modemuseum Schloss Meyenburg.
Complex KittelKilt set-up at Meyenburg Castle exhibition hall: The Partnerlook! Kittel+Kilt installation is the result of the scottish-german artists’ collaboration. A paper kilt and and a paper-kittel, related to paper dresses from the collection of the Fashion Museum. The material is printed with the Partnerlook! tartan, developed from local patterns of Strodehne and Scotland by scottish kilt designer Andrea Chappell. Surrounded by traditional „Kittelschürzen“ (apron dresses) contributed by Meyenburg women.
In her „Fotostudio“ performance photographer Birte Hoffmann asks the participants to chose between Kittel and Kilt.
Strodisign-dresses are present as exhibits and as „living sculptures“.
